Dan Prusaitis M.Ed. started his career working in homeless shelters and halfway houses in Chicago's Uptown, and worked through college as a juvenile detention officer. Years as a counselor in psychiatric hospitals were followed by work all around the country organizing against nuclear weapons, intervention in Central America, and advocating for the homeless. He has studied relationship skills, eliminating prejudice, leadership, and emotional healing via Re-Evaluation Counseling for 17 years. In his current position at Collins High School he does trainings with the teaching staff, is a Spanish teacher and head of the World Language Department. He is a highly involved godfather to Jade and Samantha, eleven and thirteen years old [below] and is determinedly studying Swahili and Arabic in order to train, counsel, inspire and adore people in those languages.
